WE MISSPELLED sustainable ON PURPOSE.
Suustainable with double UU = U + Universe. You and the Universe. Sustainability isn't sacrifice — it's symbiosis. Since 2016 we turn eco-anxiety into eco-action.
We started as a tiny compost collective in Portland archiving dumpster-dived furniture. Today Suustainable.org is a global knowledge commons: field guides, lifecycle data, open blueprints for solar, gardens, repair cafés and circular startups. No greenwashing. No sponsored posts. Just what works.
3 friends, 1 worm bin, 200 readers. First guide: how to halve trash in 30 days.
Launched free database of 1,200 repairable products and material passports.
Mapped 480 community gardens + corridors for pollinators across 14 countries.
Open toolkit for homes, schools & cities to go net-positive. You are here.

We don't sustain. We regenerate.
Sustaining a broken system is not enough. We restore soil, water, biodiversity and joy while we live, build and eat.
Every guide is tested in real homes, measured in CO₂, water & money saved, and peer-reviewed by scientists.

IMPACT YOU CAN measure
We track everything. Each project publishes lifecycle data: CO₂e, liters, dollars, biodiversity uplift. Audited by our science board.
How we work: Measure → Make → Multiply
1. Measure your footprint in 7 minutes with our quiz.
2. Make one change per month with step-by-step blueprints.
3. Multiply by sharing data and hosting a local circle.

ECO faq
Is Suustainable.org really sustainable with double U?
Yes. The extra U stands for You + Universe. Small typo, big philosophy: sustainability must include human joy, not just carbon math.
Are your guides free?
100% free and ad-free. We are reader-supported. All blueprints are Creative Commons for schools and communities.
How do you avoid greenwashing?
Every claim needs lifecycle data, third-party source and real-world test. If a product can't be repaired, refilled or composted — we say so.
Can I start a local circle?
Absolutely. Get our Repair Café + Garden starter kit, host 6 friends, log impact. We feature the best circles in the journal.
Do you accept guest stories?
Yes — farmers, engineers, moms, students. Pitch via the contact form with photos and measured results.
